What's the best specialty restaurant for a poor vegetarian guy who doesn't eat any meat or fish?

Thanks!

dougrex, which resort?

You will find plenty of choices on the buffets. The Japanese restaurant would be also good-- the fried rice is great (if you eat eggs). They make the stir-fry to order for each guest, and I'm sure it would be just as delicious without any of the meats.

At most of the specialty restaurants, nearly all the entrees have meat. However, the Cajun restaurant also has an extensive appetizer buffet, and it had some really good vegetable dishes. The Acadian vegetables in spicy tomato sauce were excellent.

You should probably avoid the Del Mar Brazilian-- it's an endless parade of meats on a skewer. The Steakhouse restaurants obviously would not be the best choices, either.

CoralReef,

We're staying at the Maya, arriving on Aug 4th.  Eggs are fine so the Japanese rice and stir-fry sounds good.
I also love spicy food so we'll try the Cajun, too.

Thanks for the suggestions!

We do not have them available at this moment. Hopefully our board members will bring IB menus when they come back from DR.

Hi, I need some help from someone if you would.

My fiance and I are getting married at Iberostar Lindo/Maya next Sat., 12/17/05 and her mother has Celiac disease.  Basically, this means she is allergic wheat and gluton.  Here in the states, many restaraunts have gluton-free menus.  Does anyone know if Iberostar offers a gluton-free menu or do you have any suggestions?

Thank you so much.
